Algeria’s women’s national team on Tuesday announced a 22-player shortlist for their upcoming friendly matches against Nigeria’s Super Falcons, Afrosport reports.
The two sides will lock horns in a friendly double-header on Saturday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 29, as both matches will be held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.
Earlier in the week, Super Falcons interim coach Justin Madugu named a 25-player squad, which included just six foreign-based players like captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, Turkey-based defender Oluwatosin Demehin, and UD Tenerife forward Gift Monday.
The two matches, which will be officiated by a quartet of Beninese officials, marks the first time the Super Falcons will play international friendly matches on home soil in three years.
