Five more teams booked their spots in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Morocco on Thursday, bringing the total to 15, Afrosport reports.
The five sides are Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda, South Africa and Gabon. The Super Eagles, Bafana Bafana and the Panthers, the Cranes had already booked their spots without kicking a ball after other results in their respective groups went in their favour.
The other 10 that had earlier secured their place in tournament proper are Tunisia, tournament hosts, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea as well as Angola, Ivory Coast, DR Congo, Cameroon and Burkina Faso.
This means nine more spots are up for grabs to determine the 24 teams that will feature at the 35th edition of the AFCON tournament.
