All is set for the semi-final fixture between Nigeria and South Africa at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles are set to battle on Bafana Bafana at the Stade de la Paix for a place in Sunday’s final.

Bafana Bafana are yet to win the AFCON title since 1996 while Nigeria’s last success in the competition was in 2013.

When and Where is the semi-final game?

The Nigeria vs South Africa clash will take place at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake on Wednesday, February 7.

It would be the first game the Super Eagles would play outside of Abidjan since they kicked off their quest for a fourth AFCON title on January 14.

Wednesday’s match will be the 15th international meeting between Nigeria and South Africa.

The Super Eagles are the dominant side in this particular fixture with seven wins while South Africa have won two matches and five outings ended in draws.

Nigeria are yet to lose to Bafana Bafana on the Africa Cup of Nations stage, and their last semi-final encounter ended in 2-0 in favour of the West Africans back in 2000.

The most recent AFCON game between the two countries ended in a 2-1 win for Nigeria at the 2019 edition in Egypt.

2023 African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen is passed fit for the South Africa match after arriving late in Bouake on Tuesday.

Osimhen complained of abdominal discomfort in Abidjan and was kept under medical watch which delayed his trip to Bouake but he trained with the rest of the squad on Tuesday evening.
