Simon Adingra has labelled the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as one of the best moments of his career after his instrumental role in Ivory Coast’s victory over Nigeria in Sunday’s final.
The Brighton and Hove Albion man provided two assists that led to the goals by Franck Kessie and Sebastian Haller to complete the comeback 2-1 win.
Adingra’s performance across the entire tournament on home soil ultimately landed him the competition’s Young Best Player award.
