Amine Harit has joined the Morocco national team ahead of their crunch 2022 World Cup semi-final with France on Wednesday evening.
The Atlas Lions became the first African nation to make it to the last four of the mundial after beating Portugal 1-0 in the quarter-finals.
Harit will be part of the squad on Wednesday but will be offering morale support from the sidelines of Al Bayt Stadium as he continues to nurse a knee injury.
Moroccan captain Romain Saiss shared a picture of himself and Harit on Instagram with a caption that read: “Finally among us … May God heal you … This adventure is also yours.”
In a separate post on Twitter, Harit shared a picture of himself doing the peace out sign with the caption “The Dream ” followed by emojis of love and the Moroccan flag.

Harit was initially part of the Morocco squad ahead of the World Cup but missed out after seriously injuring his knee in a French Ligue 1 game between his club Olympique Marseille and AS Monaco just a week before the World Cup kicked off.
Burnley’s Anass Zaroury has since been Harit’s replacement in the Morocco team.
