The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will convene its 81st Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
Oyo State governor, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, will formally declare the assembly open at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, located opposite the University College Hospital, Orita-Mefa.
Among the expected dignitaries are Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko; Director General of the NSC, Hon. Bukola Olopade; Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Abdul Ningi; Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Sports, Hon. Kabiru Amadu; as well as former NFF president and ex-FIFA/CAF Executive Committee member, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick.
Also invited are former NFF 1st Vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, alongside former General Secretaries Ambassador Fanny Amun and Dr Bolaji Ojo-Oba.
The NFF’s AGA brings together the chairmen and secretaries of all 36 State Football Associations and the FCT, members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management, as well as representatives of the various leagues, coaches, referees, and players’ union.
NFF president, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, will deliver the welcome address before the plenary, after which General Secretary Dr Mohammed Sanusi will present the secretariat’s activity report. The business session will include the presentation of the consolidated and revised balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement, approval of financial statements, and ratification of the budget for the coming year.
Other agenda items include membership admissions (if applicable), votes on proposed amendments to the Statutes and standing orders, the appointment of an independent auditor, as well as consideration of motions from members or the Executive Committee. The assembly may also address dismissals of individuals or bodies where necessary.
