Arsenal began their quest for UEFA Champions League glory with a comfortable 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao at San Mames in the league phase on Tuesday, Afrosport reports.
The first half saw very little action in terms of chances in front of goal but things finally came alive in the 72nd minute when substitute Leandro Trossard fed fellow substitute Gabriel Martinelli for the opening goal.
Both players reversed roles for the second goal with Martinelli finding Trossard out the 87th minute to secure the three points.
