The 28-year-old, who was previously on a season-long loan at Premier League side Southampton, now heads to Serie A to play under former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira.
The Ivorian played just four matches for the Saints—two times each in the Premier League and EFL Cup—with his last appearance being in a 3-2 win over Stoke City in October 2024.
Cornet joins a Genoa side currently 12th in Serie A with 23 points after 21 matches.
