Egypt’s Mohamed Salah wins Premier League Player of the Month award for November

Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for November, Afrosport reports.

Salah was instrumental to Liverpool’s success in the month under review, scoring four goals and providing one assist as the Reds won all their three games to maintain top spot in the league standings.

The 32-year-old scored the winner in Liverpool’s 2-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion, finished with a goal and assist in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa, and scored both the equaliser and winner in their 3-2 comeback win against Southampton.

Following a combination of votes from fans and a panel of football experts, Salah saw off seven other nominees, including club teammate Ryan Gravenberch, Yoane Wissa (Brentford), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), and the Arsenal duo of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.

The Liverpool No. 11 claimed the Player of the Month for the first time since October 2023, and the sixth time in his Premier League career, tying Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Salah, who is just one away from equalling the Premier League record of seven Player of the Month awards held by Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero, currently has 13 league goals this season, level with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

Th Egypt international has already scored three goals and provided two assists in two matches in December and will be hoping to add to his tally when Liverpool host Fulham on Saturday.
