Vinicius, Rodri headline final shortlist for FIFPRO Men’s World XI

Vinicius Junior and Rodri have been named in the star-studded FIFPRO Men’s World XI released on Monday, Afrosport reports.

Vinicius and Rodri, who both battled for the 2024 Ballon d’Or honours, headline a shortlist that included six players from Real Madrid, four from Manchester City, and one from Liverpool.

The FIFPRO Men’s World XI is voted for by fellow professional footballers, with over 21,000 men’s football players casting their votes.

Rodri, however, debuts on the FIFPRO Men’s World XI, joining club teammate and Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, as well as the Madrid duo of Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger, who are joined in defence by Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk.

The midfield contains Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Toni Kroos, and Jude Bellingham, who received the most votes (11,176) compared to the rest.

Vinicius is joined by Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappe and Norwegian forward Erling Haaland in a fearful attacking setup.
