Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is unfazed by the brilliant goal he scored for Nantes in their Ligue 1 over Rennes at the weekend, Afrosport reports.
Simon scored the only goal as Nantes ended their 10-match winless run by skilfully getting past the opposition defence before placing the ball in the top end corner of the net.
The goal got a lot of reactions from fans but Simon was not in it but rather focused on the three crucial points he side earned.
“I can’t say it was magical because I already did it against Lens [in the 2022-2023 season],” he told DAZN per Tribune Nantaise.
“So, I think it was the perfect moment, especially in the derby. We needed the points, that’s the most important thing for us. We got them, and we are very happy.
“We trained all week for this. We had faith, we believed in it. After the match against Paris Saint-Germain, we knew that’on could do it and we had the right mentality to do it.”

Moses Simon is having a decent season having found the back of the net four times and registered four assists in 13 league appearances this season.
Antoine Kombouare’s team will be traveling to the Stade Francis next Sunday to take on 11th-placed Brest who have registered only one win in their last five matches.
