Onana confident of better days for Man United under Amorim

Andre Onana is confident that better days will come for Manchester United under new coach Ruben Amorim, Afrosport reports.

The Portuguese tactician took charge of the Red Devils dugout for the first time in Sunday’s Premier League game against Ipswich Town which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The result was not what many expected with United expected to win after claiming three competitive wins in four games under interim manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Onana, who was instrumental against Ipswich by making some vital saves, wants the team to stay together in their push for more consistent results.

“We are such a big club so there is no time to cry, we have to move on,” the Cameroon shot stopper told the club website. “Good days will come, better days will come. Like I always say, it will not rain forever here and the sun will shine.

“We know it’s just a matter of time. We have to continue working hard and pushing ourselves, stay together and stay positive, because in the end there are still a lot of games to go, a lot of competitions where we can fight.

“So we are all excited and very positive about the season.”

Amorim will hope to bag his first United win when they host Norwegian giants Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
