Leverkusen’s Boniface comes out unscathed in car accident

UCL: Boniface strike helps Leverkusen seal victory over AC Milan

Victor Boniface was involved in car accident on Saturday but came out unscathed hours after Bayer Leverkusen had played Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, Afrosport reports.

The Nigerian forward scored the winner for the reigning league champions as the game ended 2-1.

He however had an accident later in the day, sharing a video of the incident on his Instagram Stories.

He shared pictures with blood on his hands while his face had no injuries.

He took to X on Sunday with a post that simply read: “God is the greatest”.

There has been no statement from Leverkusen on the incident and there is no indication whether the former Union Saint-Gilloise forward will be fit enough to face Brest in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

He scored his first goal in the European premier competition in Leverkusen’s previous 1-0 win over AC Milan.

He has a total of seven competitive goals in 10 outings this season.
