Champions League: Ousmane Dembele left out of PSG squad to face Arsenal

Done Deal: PSG announce signing of French forward Ousmane Dembele

French forward Ousmane Dembele has been left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad travelling to face Arsenal in this week’s UEFA Champions League.

The French champions on Monday released a 22-man list for their visit to the Emirates Stadium and Dembele was omitted from squad.

According to reports, the 27-year-old France international, who is currently fit, was left out of the squad by manager Luis Enrique due to disciplinary reasons.

PSG saw off Rennes 3-1 at the Parc des Princes last Friday in their most recent Ligue 1 match with Dembele playing a part as he assisted his side’s first goal until he was replaced by Ibrahim Mbaye in the 82nd minute.

French outlet L’Equipe revealed that Dembele had a fallout with Enrique after the Spanish manager criticised the forward for repeatedly making the wrong choices during the game. The French media outlet added that the two parties had a heated conversation during a post-match debrief.

Dembele has four goals and four assists in seven matches for PSG, who are currently unbeaten in all competitions this season with the French club overcoming Girona 1-0 in their Champions League opener.

They Parisiens will take on Arsenal on matchday two in the Champions League on Tuesday, October 1, with the Gunners in search of their first win after a goalless stalemate with Atalanta in their opening match.
