The much-talked about all-British IBF heavyweight world title bout between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois at London’s Wembley Stadium ended with the latter retaining his title with a knockout victory on Saturday.
Dubois, 27, dropped Joshua multiple times but the most potent one came in the fifth round, which ended the fight as he roared to victory in front of 96,000 cheering fans at the iconic Wembley ground.

The Londoner, who had knocked down his challenger four times before the fatal shot, looked fully focused as he finished off Joshua with an incredible counter right hook to secure the 22nd win of his 24-fight career.
“Are you not entertained?” Dubois shouted after securing arguably the biggest win of his career. “I’m a gladiator. I am a warrior to the bitter end. I want to get to the top level of this sport and reach my potential.”

The defeat crushed Joshua’s ambitions of becoming a three-time champion as he recorded his fourth career defeat in humiliating fashion, but the 34-year-old said he will continue boxing and hinted he has a clause to trigger a rematch with Dubois.
“I had a sharp opponent and a fast opponent,” Joshua told DAZN when asked what went wrong. “And secondly, a lot of mistakes from my end.”
“You know I’m ready to kick off in the ring but I’m going to keep it respectful,” Joshua, who lost for the first time in five fights said. “Before I came here, I always say to myself I’m a fighter for life. You keep rolling the dice.”
Dubois will now get a shot against the winner of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury slated for December 21.
