The hopes of Victor Osimhen sealing a move to Paris Saint-Germain seems to have hit the rocks as a discussions between the French outfit and 2023 Serie A champions Napoli have ended in a deadlock.
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentis and his PSG counterpart, Naseer Al-Khelaifi, reportedly held discussions on Monday evening but failed to find a headway with their proposals.
According to multiple reports, PSG are unwilling to meet the €130 million release clause for the Super Eagles forward, which brought forth other propositions.
Napoli requested a deal involving cash plus PSG striker Kang-in-Lee, in exchange for Osimhen, but PSG rejected the offer.
However, PSG, offered two players plus cash for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finalist, to which Napoli declined.
With the transfer talks on ice, it is believed Osimhen’s entourage is considering offers from the lucrative Saudi Pro League, although PSG might return with another bid.
Napoli, is looking to conclude the sale of Osimhen to enable the new manager, Antonio Conte to reunite with Romelu Lukaku, who they both had beautiful memories together at Inter Milan, winning the Capocannoniere and Scudetto in 2021.
