Jordan Ayew shined once again as he scored and provided an assist in Crystal Palace’s 3-0 Premier League win over 10-man Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles were under the new watch of Oliver Glasner after Roy Hodgson was sacked last week.
Things started off with Josh Brownhill receiving a red card in the fourth minute which saw Burnley reduced to 10 men.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, the Clarets were able to contain Palace for all of the first half and were finally broken in the 68th minute when Ayew’s brilliant cross found the head of American defender Chris Richards.
Glasner’s men were 2-0 up four minutes later with Ayew arriving late to latch on to Matheus Franca’s pass and tuck the ball with ease into the back of the net.
It was the first time since June 2020 that the 32-year-old scored in back-to-back league games. It was also his third goal involvement (two goals, one assist) in five matches since returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The scoring was complete in the 79th minute when Jean-Philippe Mateta converted from the penalty spot after Franca was brought down in the box.
The victory moved Palace above Bournemouth into 13th place on the table.
Glasner will have a taste of his first London derby against Tottenham Hotspur next Saturday.
