Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen continues to enjoy an incredible start to the week with a goal for Napoli in their 2-0 home win over SC Braga in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old, who was just crowned African Footballer of the Year on Monday in Morocco, scored his first Champions League goal of the season for the Partenopei.
Osimhen ended his four-game goalless streak with a close-range finish in the 33rd minute at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to double the Italian side’s lead.

Napoli needed a draw to qualify for the round of 16, and they got off to the best of starts after Braga’s Turkish defender Serdar Saatçı put the ball into his own net in the ninth minute to give them the lead.
Osimhen doubled Napoli’s lead 24 minutes later after Natan de Souza made a dazzling run into Braga’s box. After playing a one-two with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Brazilian defender beats two opponents before squaring the ball for Osimhen, who tapped into an empty net.

The Nigerian forward was subbed off to a resounding applause in the 69th minute, and Napoli held on for a hard-fought victory to finish second in Group C behind Real Madrid and advance into the competition’s last 16.
Osimhen and Napoli will now turn their attention to the Serie A where they will take on Cagliari at home on Saturday.
