Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry etched his name in NBA folklore with his performance in Game 7 of their Western Conference first-round series against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.
The 35-year-old was impossible to stop, scoring 50 points at the Golden 1 Center in the Warriors’ 120-100 blowout win over the Kings to become the player with the most points in a Game 7 in NBA history and record a Playoff career-high for himself.

Curry surpassed former Warriors teammate and two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant, who scored 48 points against the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals.
The four-time NBA champion was in emphatic form in a make-or-break game for the defending champions. He grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists, and shot 20-of-38 from the field, including seven from beyond the 3-point arc.

Kevon Looney also came up big for the Warriors as he finished with a double-double of 11 points and 21 assists to become the first player since Dwight Howard in 2008 to have three 20+ rebound games in the same series.
Andrew Wiggins, who had missed the last two months of the regular season for the Warriors but came back in time for the beginning of the playoffs, added 17 points, while the other half of the Splash Brothers, Klay Thompson, finished with 16 points.
In a first-round series that had all the thrills and excitement, the third-seed Kings took games 1 and 2 early on. The Warriors, however, won games 3 and 4 at the Chase Center in San Francisco before stealing Game 5 in Sacramento in a game that continued their historic run of winning at least one road game in the playoffs.
In Game 6 on Friday, they got overrun at home by the Kings, who tied the series at 3-3 to regain home court advantage. However, Curry and the Warriors had all the answers for Mike Brown and his guys as they dished out a clinic to advance to the conference semifinals.
Curry averaged 33.7 points per game in the first round against the Kings, and he will look to continue his ongoing postseason form as the Warriors face the Los Angeles Lakers, who saw off the second-seed Memphis Grizzlies 4-2, with the series set to commence on Tuesday at Chase Center.
