Four-time African Footballer of the Year and Manchester City legend Yaya Toure has been nominated for induction into the 2023 Premier League Hall of Fame.
Toure battles 14 other former Premier League players for selection into the hallowed ranks of English football following his remarkable playing career in Manchester that saw him lift three league titles with the Citizens.
The 39-year-old joined Manchester City from Barcelona in 2010 and he spent his entire Premier League career at the Etihad Stadium, where he scored 63 goals and provided 32 assists in 230 league matches between 2010 and 2018.
Toure could be the second African to make the Hall of Fame after Chelsea legend Didier Drogba was inducted in 2022.
Other nominees for the Hall of Fame induction are Ashley Cole, Gary Neville, Andrew Cole, Jermain Defoe, Les Ferdinand, Michael Owen, Michael Carrick, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Petr Cech, Robbie Fowler, Sol Campbell, Tony Adams and John Terry.
Fans are expected to vote for the next three players that will join Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson as 2023 Hall of Fame inductees.
