FC Cologne defender Kingsley Schindler has been called up by Ghana to replace Brighton & Hove Albion full-back Tariq Lamptey who pulled out of the squad due to injury ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on Thursday.
Lamptey was part of the 25-man squad that would execute the doubleheader against Angola but has been forced to withdraw which paved way for Schindler.
The 29-year-old was born in Germany but switched international allegiance to Ghana which made his first international call-up possible.
