Atlas Lions of Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi has been accused of sexual abuse by an unnamed woman on Monday.

According to reports, the 23-year-old woman accused the Paris Saint-Germain right back of raping her on February 25 at his home. Although she reported the case to the local police over the weekend, it was said that she did not wish to press charges.
However, French prosecutors have opened a preliminary investigation into the accusation, which is being led by the prosecutor’s office in the Paris suburb of Nanterre.
Hakimi, who was named to the FIFA FIFPRO World 11 at the FIFA Best Awards in Paris on Monday, was absent in PSG’s win over Marseille on Sunday due to a thigh injury he’s been battling with since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 24-year-old former Real Madrid defender has yet to publicly respond to the accusations, nor has his current club, PSG, but according to posts on social media, his wife and two children are currently on vacation in Dubai.
