500 free Super Eagles jerseys are up for grabs ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifying fixture against the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Tuesday, Afrosport reports.
The three-time African champions will battle the Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in a crucial matchday six encounter at 5pm Nigerian Time.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), through its General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, on Monday confirmed that the first 500 people to purchase match tickets for the game in Uyo will get a Super Eagles home jersey.
“We are calling on Nigerians to come out in large numbers to support the Super Eagles on Tuesday,” he said. “The team needs the support.
The Super Eagles got their qualifying campaign back on track after defeating Rwanda’s Amavubi in Kigali last Friday, with the Amahoro Stadium filled to the brim with home fans.
Dr Sanusi added that Nigerians can emulate their East African counterparts by coming out en masse to support the Super Eagles and create an intimidating atmosphere for the visitors.
“When we played Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, the Rwandans filled up the Amahoro Stadium to its full capacity,” he continued. “Let our people also come out in throngs and cheer the Eagles.
“We are also appealing to fans to come to the stadium in Nigerian colours. Let us fill up the stadium in green and white colours, and drum and dance to support the team.”
The NFF has also confirmed that match tickets will be available for sale on match day, with the VIP tickets on sale for N3000 and the regular seats are up for N1000.
