Amusan is on course to win a third consecutive title in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Games following her triumphs in Congo Brazzaville (2015) and recently in Rabat in 2019.
However, the Nigerian will have to fend off competition from Madagascar’s Fiadanantsoa Sidonie, who ran an impressive 13.19 seconds, the second overall best time during the heats.
Faith Osamuyi, who is the other Nigerian gunning for a podium finish in the event, will start beside Amusan in lane 5, while Sidonie will start in lane 4.
