Nigeria will face Canada for their opening Group B match at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on Friday.
The game between the Super Falcons and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics champions will be the second Group B game after Australia pipped the Republic of Ireland to a 1-0 victory.
Friday morning’s match will be the first competitive match for the Super Falcons since their 1-0 loss to Zambia in the third-place match of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco last July.
