Women’s World Cup: Super Falcons’ farewell dinner set for Saturday

The Super Falcons will be hosted to a farewell dinner by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Saturday, July 1 before their departure to participate in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand

Randy Waldrum’s squad of 23 players and officials will be hosted in the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, with members of the NFF Executive Committee expected to be in attendance.

After the farewell dinner, the Super Falcons will depart Abuja for a 15-day final camping in Australia before the Women’s World Cup kicks off on July 20.

Nigeria will make their ninth appearance in the biggest women’s football tournament and they have been paired against Canada, Australia and Republic of Ireland in Group B.
