Russia-based Francisca Ordega and Sweden-based Halimatu Ayinde are the only two players yet to join the Super Falcons’ final training camp for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
Randy Waldrum’s ladies arrived in the Australian city of Gold Coast this week to begin preparations for the tournament that starts on July 20.
A tweet from the Super Falcons confirmed that 21 players are in the Australian city, with FC Rosengard’s Ayinde and CSKA Moscow’s Ordega the only absentees.

Ayinde and Ordega clearly were not available for the send-off dinner organised for the Super Falcons by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja on Sunday which had a representative of Nigeria’s First Lady in attendance.
The 11-time African champions are yet to play a match since their 3-0 victory against New Zealand in an international friendly outing in Turkey.
They are scheduled to begin their ninth appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup against Canada on July 21.
