Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi provided two assists in Leicester City’s 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The 27-year-old took his tally to three assists in the Premier League this season after also providing their only goal in a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa before the international break two weeks ago.
After winning the ball in midfield, Ndidi, created Leicester’s first goal as his ball over the top found captain Jamie Vardy, who went round Palace’s goalkeeper Dean Henderson before firing the ball into an empty net for his second goal in four Premier League games this season.
The Nigerian was on hand to provide the Foxes’ second goal right at the start of the second half calmly passing the ball to Stephy Mavididi before the English forward latched it into the back of the net from close range.
Ndidi, who was playing in his 278th match for the Foxes, provided two assists in the same game for the first time.

The hosts wasted no time in drawing one back as French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta got on the end of a dangerous low cross from Tyreek Mitchell to register his first goal of the season.
Selhurst Park soon erupted after the Eagles were awarded a penalty in second half stoppage time following a foul on Ismaila Sarr by Conor Coady inside the area. Mateta stepped up to take the resulting spot kick and the striker made no mistakes, sending Leicester’s goalie Mads Hermansen the wrong way to level proceedings.
The draw meant the Foxes have failed to win any of their first four Premier League matches over their last two seasons in the competition, while Palace avoided defeat having been 2-0 down, for the 10th time in Premier League history.
Palace, 16th in the standings, will host Manchester United in their next league game on Saturday, September 21, while Leicester, who are a spot above them, will battle Everton at the King Power Stadium on the same day.
