Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim says that the club is improving on set pieces, Afrosport reports
Set pieces, particularly corner kicks, have been an achilles heel for the club for quite some time having conceded from them on a consistent basis.
They have neither scored enough from corners but did so via Matthijs de Ligt in Thursday night’s Europa League win over Rangers. Unfortunately, the goal was ruled out for a foul in the build up.
Reacting to the disallowed goal, Amorim revealed that United are currently undergoing an intense course on set pieces.
“We are improving set-pieces. We have an intense course here in the Premier League with set-pieces and we can use it in Europe,” the Portuguese said.
“Sometimes the rule is a little bit different. In the Premier League you can do a little bit more to score a goal. But in that aspect it was a good performance.”
