Nigeria U20 women’s coach Chris Danjuma has called up 30 players for a training camp in Abuja on Monday as they gear up for the inaugural 2023 WAFU B Under-20 Women’s Cup taking place in Ghana.
Some of the players that participated at last year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica and the U-17 Women’s World Cup in India, have all been included along with some new faces.
Notable names in the squad include Naija Ratels goalkeeper Faith Omilana, Edo Queens defender Blessing Sunday, Delta Queens midfielder Taiwo Afolabi, and Bayelsa Queens forward Flourish Sebastine.
The 2023 WAFU B U-20 Women’s Cup takes place in the Ghanaian City of Kumasi from May 20 to June 4.
The Falconets are in Group B along with Togo, Burkina Faso and Niger. They begin their campaign against Niger on May 21.
