Ghana head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has announced a 24-player squad for the Black Queens ahead of the 2024 Womenโs Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, Afrosport reports.
Bjorkegren has named a squad of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and six forwards in the squad, which has a mix of home- and foreign-based players.
The 43-year-old Swede has invited goalkeepers Kerrie McCarthy and Cynthia Konlan Findib and defenders Ernestina Abambila and Portia Boakye.
The trio of Evelyn Badu, Grace Asantewaa, and Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah have been named in midfield, while Wasima Mohammed, Sherifatu Sumaila, and Princella Adubea will lead the frontline.

Ghana lost 3-1 to eternal rivals Nigeriaโs Super Falcons on Sunday in their final preparatory game ahead of the WAFCON 2024, which will take place from July 5 to 26 in Morocco.
The Black Queens, drawn in Group C against defending champions South Africa, Mali and Tanzania, will kickstart their campaign against Banyana Banyana on 7 July at the Honor Stadium in Oujda.
