Ex-Super Eagles forward Victor Moses excited with Luton Town move

Done Deal: Ex-Super Eagles winger Victor Moses joins Luton Town

Nigerian forward Victor Moses has expressed his excitement to play for English Championship side Luton Town, Afrosport reports.

The 33-year-old, who joined the Hatters earlier in the week, spoke about he readiness to kickstart his career at his new home.

“I’m very excited and I can’t wait to get started,” Moses stated in a recent interview.

“I’m looking forward to it; it’s a pleasure to be here. It’s a good time for me to be in the country and start enjoying my football again.

“After Luton’s stint in the Premier League last season and their return to the Championship, the main objective now is to help the club get back up to the Premier League.”

The former Wigan Athletic and Chelsea man further added that he hopes to use the experience he’s amassed over the years to help the team seek immediate return to the Premier League.

“It’s time for me to start working hard and help the lads with the experience I’ve got,” the Premier League, Europa League, and FA Cup winner continued.

“I thought Luton did well last season, but they were a bit unlucky at times. For many of the boys, it might have been their first time playing in the Premier League, but it was a good experience.

“This season, the focus is on taking each game as it comes and aiming for promotion.”.

Moses, who has over 500 appearances under his belt, also expressed his desire to continue enjoying his football in England.

“I just want to play football and enjoy it. Whatever minutes I get, I want to help the lads. That’s the most important thing. I’m fit, ready to go, and I want to help the team win as many games as we can this season.”

The Hatters currently lie 23rd in the Championship with just one point after four games, having suffered three defeats and drawn once.

The Kenilworth Road outfit will head to the Den to take on Milwall on Saturday, September 14, when club football returns this weekend after the international break.
