The Unity Cup 2025, a four-nation Afro-Caribbean tournament, will come to an end over the weekend with two rounds of matches in London.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will take on Jamaica in the Unity Cup final shortly after Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago have battled in the third-place match.
The Super Eagles saw off the Black Stars 2-1 in their opening game on Wednesday, with Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers on target as Nigeria claimed all bragging rights in the infamous “Jollof Derby”.
Meanwhile, Jamaica edged past their Caribbean neighbours Trinidad and Tobago as a stoppage-time penalty from Richard King earned the Reggae Boyz a 3-2 win over the Soca Warriors.
The Super Eagles, however, will be without captain Ahmed Musa, who has reportedly left the team’s camp. The duo of Amas Obasogie and Christantus Uche will also be missing from the final due to different reasons.

Where and when is the match?
The Super Eagles and Jamaica will clash in a highly-anticipated battle for Supremacy in the Unity Cup final, slated to take place on Saturday, 31 May, at the Gtech Community Stadium in London, home of Premier League side Brentford.
Historical Perspective – What do the stats say?
The Super Eagles and Jamaica will meet each other for the seventh time in history, with the first encounter between both teams dating back to 1998.
The three-time African champions hold the upper hand in the fixture, having won two games, drawn three and lost one against the Reggae Boyz.
Nigeria defeated the Caribbean nation 2-2 in a friendly in February 1998 but secured a 1-0 win over the Reggae Boyz in another friendly at Loftus Road in London in 2002. The next meeting ended in a goalless draw, while Jamaica claimed their only win in May 2003, a 3-2 victory in another international friendly.
Their only previous meeting in the Unity Cup ended in a 2-0 win for the Super Eagles in 2004, while their most recent clash was a goalless draw in 2009.
