Valencia manager Carlos Corberan is pleased with the commitment shown by Umar Sadiq since his arrival on loan from Real Sociedad, Afrosport reports.
The Nigerian forward scored a brace in Sunday’s 3-3 draw away at Osasuna in La Liga, taking his tally to three goals in six league games and four goals in nine matches in all competitions.
Corberan affirmed the club’s commitment to help him improve as the season progresses.
“Sadiq arrived very committed and eager to work,” he said.
“We are going to give him the confidence he needs to continue helping the team.”

Reacting to his performance, Umar Sadiq said: “Every minute on the pitch matters. I saw the ball and as a striker I need to do something and I did it.
“That’s why I said every second counts in football, it was a quick reaction and I thank God for the goal.”
Valencia remain in the relegation zone and are tied on 24 points with 17th-placed Las Palmas but with an inferior goal difference.
Los Che will next face bottom club Valladolid at the Mestalla on Saturday.
