Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq has completed a permanent move to Spanish LaLiga side Valencia from Real Sociedad, Afrosport reports.
The Nigerian has penned a contract that will keep him at the Mestalla until 2028, ending his association with Real Sociedad.
The 28-year-old previously spent the latter part of last season on loan with Los Ches, where he impressed with his performances. He found the back of the net six times in 19 league appearances, playing a key role during his short stay.
Despite their interest, Valencia were unable to secure a permanent deal last summer. However, the club has now finalised the transfer as they battle to avoid relegation from LaLiga.
Head coach Carlos Corberan is counting on Sadiq’s experience and goal-scoring ability to boost the team’s survival hopes. The striker is available for selection and could feature in Sunday’s league clash against Elche at the Mestalla.

Sadiq missed out on Nigeria coach Eric Chelle’s final 28-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, but will be hoping to hit the ground running at Valencia, and make a return to the national team.
The former Almeria, Bologna and Roma forward has played 12 games for Nigeria, scoring one goal.
