Canadian rapper Drake is backing Nigeria-born UFC champion Israel Adesanya to retain his middleweight title when he challenges Sean Strickland in tonight’s UFC 293.
Drake placed a bet worth $500,000 on Adesanya to come out victorious which a potential winning of $920,000.
Drake has not hidden his admiration for Adesanya’s fighting skills and it won’t be first time the music star is banking on the MMA star.

In April, the Grammy Awards winner won a total od $2.7 million after placing a bet of $500,000 on the Last Stylebender to beat Alex Pereira which returned $885,000 and $400,000 for a knock-out win which brought a winning of $1.8 million.
In November 2022, Drake counted his losses with a bet of $1.6 million on the Nigerian fighter who conceded his second UFC loss to Pereira in UFC 281.
Adesanya heads into Saturday’s night fight against Strickland in Sydney with a fighting record of 24 wins which include 16 knock-outs and two defeats.
