Nigerian trio Franklin Tebo Uchenna, Bamidele Yusuf and Taofeek Ismaheel were all on target in the knockout playoffs of the UEFA Europa League and Conference League on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
In the Europa League, Uchenna scored the only goal as Red Star Belgrade defeated Lille on French soil 1-0 while Dele scored the equaliser in Ferencvaros’ 2-1 defeat away at Ludogorets.
Other Nigerians that featured in the Europa League were Ola Aina in Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 away win at Fenerbahce, Kelechi Iheanacho in Celtic’s 4-1 defeat at Stuttgart, Yira Sor in Genk’s 3-1 win at Dinamo Zagreb and Salim Fago in Viktoria Plzen’s 2-2 draw with Panathinaikos.

In the Conference League, Ismaheel scored the second goal in Lech Poznan’s 2-0 win at 10-man KuPS.

The other Nigerian to feature in the Conference League was Adamu Alhassan in Shkendija’s 1-0 defeat at home to Samsunspor.
