Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray team will battle it out with Dutch giants AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 playoffs following the draws held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday, Afrosport reports.
The Turkish giants finished the league phase in 14th place, just one point shy of an automatic spot into the round of 16.
Osimhen and Galatasaray will now have to navigate past Alkmaar who finished in 19th spot for a chance to play either Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur in the round of 16.
The Nigerian forward was on target in Thursday’s 2-1 defeat at Ajax Amsterdam, taking his Europa League tally this season to five goals in six games.
