Victor Osimhen says he has taken positive from Galatasaray’s 1-1 draw with AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
The Dutch side went ahead on home soil in the second minute through Sven Mijnans but were pegged back by Osimhen two minutes before the half-time break.
It was the Nigerian’s second Europa League goal in Galatasaray this season and believes it was a good performance from the Turkish giants despite not taking maximum points.
“Obviously we had a good performance. The team we faced is also a good team. I think they were very successful individually and as a team,” Osimhen told the club website.
“We created a lot of chances, we could have scored the second goal. I think we need to take the positive side, this is a point. I also want to thank our fans very much, they did not leave us alone in this weather and supported us throughout the 90 minutes.”

Osimhen’s tally has been increased to eight goals and five assists in 11 competitive games during his loan spell from Napoli.
