Raheem Sterling had his first goal involvement for Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League after providing two assists in the 2-2 draw at home to PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night, Afrosport reports.
The Gunners had thumped the Dutch giants 7-1 in the first leg in Eindhoven which led to manager Mikel Arteta making a raft of changes to his starting XI.
Sterling, on loan from Chelsea, was among those changes and set things off in the sixth minute when he set up Oleksandr Zinchenko for the opening goal.
Croatia veteran Ivan Perisic equalised for PSV in the 18th minute but Arsenal were back ahead in the 37th minute when Sterling set up Declan Rice.
It was the 30-year-old’s 45th goal involvement in the Champions League (27 goals, 18 assists) which is the fourth highest of any English player in the competition, behind David Beckham, Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney.

Morocco forward Couhaib Driouech made it 2-2 for PSV but it made little difference as Arsenal won the tie 9-3 on aggregate, becoming the second English team to score 10+ goals across two legs in the Champions League after Manchester City’s 10-2 aggregate win over Schalke 04 in the 2018-19 round of 16.
Arsenal will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. Sterling will however be unavailable for the first leg reaching the limit for yellow card accumulation.
