Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) came from a goal down to defeat Aston Villa 3-1 on the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night, Afrosport reports.
The game was a reunion for Villa boss Unai Emery who managed the Parisians between 2016 and 2018, and it was his side that went ahead in 35th minute when Morgan Rogers finished off with ease from a well-orchestrated counter attack.
It however did not take too long for the recently-crowned Ligue 1 champions to equalise with Desire Doue doing so four minutes later.
Luis Enrique’s men were 2-1 up four minutes into the second half via former Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia while Portugal left-back Nuno Mendes put the game the bed in added time.
The victory marked the seventh time this season and sixth time in 2025 that PSG came from behind to win a game, making it the third time in has happened in their history after the 1985-86 and 2003-04 campaigns.
Nights we love!
