Nigerian duo Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika were on target as Atletico Madrid and Club Brugge played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League knockout playoffs on Wednesday, Afrosport reports.
Atleti finished 12th in the league phase while Club Brugge finished 19th to make it back-to-back appearances in knockout playoffs.
Julian Alvarez put Atletico in front from the penalty spot in the eighth minute before Lookman doubled it added time of the first half for his third goal in all competitions since he joined the Spanish giants at the end of the January transfer window from Atalanta.

Onyedika pulled one back for Club Brugge in the 54th minute for his fifth career Champions League goal while Nicolo Tresoldi, who assisted the latter, leveled for 2-2 on the hour mark .
Joel Ordonez put Atleti 3-2 up with an own goal in the 79th minute but Club Brugge had the last say thanks to Onyedika who assisted Christos Tzolis to make it 3-3 in the 89th minute.
