Harry Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich got the better of Chelsea with a 3-1 win in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, Afrosport reports.
The Bavarian giants were in front after 20 minutes when Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah failed to clear Michael Olise’s ball into the box and hit his knee on its way into the net.
Bayern’s lead was doubled seven minutes later when Kane was brought down in the box by Moises Caicedo and converted the resultant penalty.
Chelsea tried to find a way back when Cole Palmer brilliantly put the ball into his top corner of the net in the 29th minute but their hopes of levelling the game were dashed when Kane pounced on to a lose ball from Malo Gusto and put it past goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

Palmer was close to recording his second goal of the night in the 89th minute but his effort was ruled out for offside by VAR.
In earlier results on Wednesday, Cypriot side Pafos held Greek giants Olympiacos to a goalless draw while Senegalese defender Youssoupha Mbodji scored a brace in Slavia Prague’s 2-2 draw with Bodo/Glimt.
