Nigeria’s U17 Women’s team, the Flamingos, will discover their group opponents for the 2025 U17 Women’s World Cup on Wednesday, 4 June, Afrosport reports.
The official draw for the tournament, scheduled to take place in Morocco later this year, will be held in the capital city of Rabat at 7pm local time (same as Nigerian Time).
This year’s event, which will see 24 countries compete for the first time, is the ninth edition of the Mundial and the first to be held in Africa.
The 24 qualified nations, meanwhile, have been placed in four pots of six teams each according to the FIFA ranking system.

The Flamingos have been allocated to Pot 1 alongside hosts Morocco, two-time winners Spain, Japan, and the United States, as well as record winners and holders North Korea.
Pot 2 comprises Brazil, 2018 runners-up Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, Ecuador, and 2022 runners-up Colombia, while China, Cameroon, 2010 winners South Korea, Italy, Zambia, and France, who won the tournament in 2012, are in Pot 3.
Pot 4, however, consists of Paraguay, Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Norway, Cote d’Ivoire, and Samoa.
The tournament, which will take place from 17 October to 8 November, will have four debutants, with the qualifying countries to be drawn into six groups of four teams each.
