Victor Osimhen found the back of the net from the penalty spot for his 10th goal in all competitions this season as Galatasaray defeated Sivasspor 3-2 away from home in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
The visitors started on the back foot as Metehan Baltaci was given a straight red card in the 15th minute for a foul after VAR review.
This allowed Sivasspor to have the advantage with Cape Verde forward Garry Rodrigues putting them in front 10 minutes later.
Galatasaray were however not going to give up despite their numerical disadvantage as Yunus Akgun and Osimhen gave them a 2-1 lead going into the half time break.
It was the Nigerian striker’s seventh Super Lig goal and 10th in all competitions. He also became the first Galatasaray player in a decade to score or assist in eight of his first nine Turkish top flight games.

Baris Yilmaz extended Gala’s lead in the 53rd minute before Turac Boke scored the consolation goal for Sivasspor off an assist from Gambia centre-back Noah Sonko Sundberg.
The victory sees Galatasaray sit six points clear of Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce at the top of the standings.
Their next fixture is away at Swedish giants Malmo in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.
