Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Dejan Kulusevski will miss the UEFA Europa League final after undergoing surgery for a knee injury, Afrosport reports.
The Sweden international was forced off in the 19th minute of Spurs’ 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season.
Kulusevski joins James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall as the Spurs players that will not be on the team list for the trip to Bilbao next Wednesday.
“We can confirm that Dejan Kulusevski suffered an injury to his right patella in our Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace last weekend,” read a statement on the Tottenham website.
“Following further specialist consultation, the midfielder has undergone surgery today (Wednesday) and will commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff immediately.”

Kulusevski has scored 10 goals and contributed 11 assists in 50 competitive appearances this season.
Should Tottenham, who are currently 17th in the Premier League, win the Europa League final, they will qualify for next season’s Champions League.
It will also be their first trophy since winning the 2008 EFL Cup.
