Torino have appointed Marco Baroni as the new manager of the club on a two-year deal and will resume officially on July 1, Afrosport reports.
The 61-year-old replaces Paolo Vanoli, who was dismissed after leading the Granata to an 11th-place finish in the Serie A last season, 13 points clear of the relegation zone and 21 points away from a European qualification spot.
Baroni parted ways with Lazio on Monday after one season in charge, with former boss Maurizio Sarri returning to the Rome club after 14 months.
“Torino Football Club and coach Paolo Vanoli will not continue together in the next championship,” read a club statement.
“The club would like to thank Vanoli and his team for their commitment and dedication shown this season in Granata and wishes them the best in the near future.”
In a separate statement, the Piedmont oufit said: “Torino Football Club is pleased to announce that from 1 July 2025, the technical guidance of the First Team will be entrusted to Marco Baroni. The coach has signed a two-year contract.”

Baroni joined Lazio last June and led them to a seventh-place finish after being in the top five for much of the campaign.
The Biancocelesti also finished top of the revamped Europa League league phase before losing to Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt on penalties in the semi-finals.
