Thomas Frank has been dismissed as Tottenham Hotspur head coach after Tuesday’s 2-1 Premier League defeat at home to Newcastle United, Afrosport reports.
The 51-year-old Danish tactician joined Spurs from Brentford last June, replacing Ange Postecoglou, who was relieved of his duties after a 17th-placed finish in the league and ended the club’s 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League.
Tuesday’s defeat sees the North London club in 16th place, five points shy of the relegation zone with just two wins in their last 12 top flight games (D4, L6).
The club in a statement on X said: “The club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today.
“Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.
“However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.
“Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.”

Frank is the fifth manager to be dismissed by Tottenham since the departure of Mauricio Pochettino in 2019.
