Nigerian singer and Grammy award winner Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, is set to headline the halftime show Club World Cup final, Afrosport report.
The newly expanded 32-team tournament, which will be played in 12 stadiums in 11 cities, will kick off in the United States on Saturday, 14 June, with the final set for Sunday, 13 July, at the MetLife Stadium in New York, New Jersey.
FIFA, in conduction with organisers of the halftime show, Global Citizen, on Monday announced Tems as one of the entertainers at the halftime show alongside American rapper Doja Cat and Colombian star J Balvin.

According to Global Citizen, the Club World Cup halftime show will help raise $100 million for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, ensuring children around the world have access to quality education.
“We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment — to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund,” said Tems. “I can’t wait — see you at the Club World Cup final!”
The Club World Cup halftime show will be produced by Coldplay lead vocalist and co-founder Chris Martin.
