Nigeria’s senior women’s football team, the Super Falcons, will face Algeria in two friendlies later this month, Afrosport reports.
The nine-time African champions will face their north African counterparts in a double-header on Saturday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 29 as part of their preparations for the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) slated to be held in Morocco.
Reports from the Nigeria Football Federation, suggest that the friendlies will be played by home-based Super Falcons players and they will mark the first games under the new leadership of interim coach Justin Madugu, who replaced former boss Randy Waldrum.
The venue for the friendly matches has yet to be announced, with the final details surrounding the games expected soon.
